What is the Personal Information Locker service?
Personal Information Locker is an Internet based service that allows you to store and retrieve information from any HTML web browser (desktop, laptop, tablet, mobile). The user interface allows you to easily enter information and organize it the way you want. Information can be organized into a hierarchical structure. Your information is stored within a document associated with a particular application. This document will be referred to as an application document. All of your information is stored within the Personal Information Locker servers that are managed and safeguarded by a team of IT professionals who take care of all of the important data confidentiality and accessibility issues such as backing up your data and securing the site from external intrusions. The Personal Information Locker service has been designed to be highly available so that your information is always available to you.

Do I need to synchronize the information in my PILocker account with my computer or PDA?
There is no need to synchronize data with a PDA or other computer. Your information is stored on the Personal Information Locker servers and is always available anytime of day. Just enter the site URL into your web browser and away you go.

Which applications are part of the PILocker service?
The currently supported set of PILocker applications are:
- To Do list manager
- Notes manager
- Contacts manager
- Bookmarks manager
- Folder cover pages
Can I store files in my account collections?
We presently do not allow you to download and/or upload files to your account.

How much does it cost?
The PILocker service only costs $9.95 per month with the first month free.

Which browsers are supported?
To see the current supported browser list, please refer to the Browsers section of the main support page.

Which platforms are supported?
Your operating system or platform is not applicable to the use of the PILocker service. All you need is an HTML based web browser that supports HTML version 4.0 or greater.

Can I access Personal Information Locker from a mobile device?
At the present time you can only access the PILocker service from those mobile devices that support an HTML web browser. The PILocker service does not work with WML-only browsers.

How do I create an account?
To create an account, simply click on the "Sign up" link at the top of the page. The registration process is completely automated and self-service oriented.

How do I cancel my subscription?
To cancel your subscription, refer to the Cancellation section within the Billing Policy page.

Does PILocker work with my PDA?
PILocker works with wireless-based PDA devices that support an HTML-based web browser, however, we do not integrate with your PDA applications, such as the Palm To Do application.

Can I create a group of users to share information?
PILocker supports sharing of information with your defined list of other PILocker community members, but we do not presently support the ability to create a named group with community members defined within it.

Is my information encrypted when it is stored in the service repositories?
Only your account password is encrypted. We do not encrypt your application documents. However, our servers are firewall protected and highly secured with limited access to a small set of Personal Information Locker staff members.
